Read Luke 16:10-13
One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Prayer: Even though God calls us to be generous with our resources, the temptation in our hearts is to serve only ourselves with the resources we’ve been given. Pray and ask God that he would overcome that temptation and help you make the decision to choose God over money.

  • Alison says:

Time with you Lord is vast and eternal. Help me to fix my eyes on you and not the things of this world you. When I do stray toward earthly possessions remind me to bless others through them in hopes that you will be seen in my actions.

  • Alex Schweizer says:

    Dear Heavenly Father,

I know you are good. I know you are my provider. Why is it so hard for me to choose you over money? Help me to trust and obey you physically, mentally, spritually and financially. Help me to choose you over money every time, no matter what. Thanks for your patience with me. Thanks for growing me up to be a courageous and joyful giver. For your glory and the good of your people, I pray to you in the name of Jesus. Amen!
